My husband and I checked in on February 11, 2004. We were not intially in a ocean front room, but upgraded to a full ocean front room--double beds, which was fine. We paid $40 extra per night. This was a huge bargain, we were on the 17th floor with a beautiful view. I will decline to say what the total cost of the room was for fear of completely outraging some people, but it was very reasonable. Our entire experience with the Aston Waikiki was awesome! We loved the breakfast and the entire staff was very friendly and helpful. The valet service was very helpful, we really appreciated all the guys asking us were we were going and if we needed directions or if we had a good time and so on and so forth. We even made it through the cheerleader convention when the hotel was taken over by cheerleaders on Feb 12-15. I just have to say that I did stay at this hotel 5 years ago and I can see that it has defintely been remodeled. Even having stayed there before, after reading some of the horrible reviews, I was very apprehensive to stay there again. My husband and I went there with open minds and were pleasantly surprised. So, please don't let the horrible reviews get you worried, go in with an open mind and enjoy yourself!
My husband and I stayed at the Aston Waikiki Beach Hotel February 2-7, 2004. We were very happy with the ocean front room, meals, location and staff.
Bare bones - stayed in the back building, so no view, no lobby, etc. I think you take a chance of being put there when you stay here. The main building is no great shakes either. The hotel is somewhat 'family-oriented' if you know what I mean. Check availability and book Aston Waikiki Beach Hotel |
