"AWESOME!!!! LOVE THIS HOTEL!!!"

We went to Maui Hyatt for our 6 year wedding anniversary and we just loved this hotel. It was clean, quite,...just awesome. Beach is literally 5 steps away from the pool area. The room was clean and nicely decorated. They have this walkway behind the hotel which is really nice to walk, jog, and etc. We took a walk in the evening and it was so romantic. Walkway is right next to the ocean so you can hear the waves while you are walking... This walkway takes you to a little shopping plaza...on the way to the plaza, you'll see a few other hotels like Marriott and Westin. All those hotels seemed very nice. I would definitely recommend Maui Hyatt to anyone.

"Very good but not Over the top"

The Hyatt Regency Maui was our 2nd of 3 stops in Hawaii. It was far nicer than the Hyatt Wakiki. The room was attractive and clean but not impeccable. The bed was very comfortable. We didn't find drawer or closet space a problem. We had a partial ocean view in the Lahaina Tower. High floor. The lobby and common areas are beautiful. The open air atmosphere is spectacular, as are the sunset views from the bar. The halls need some help. They were dark and dingy. Unfortunately, the beach has eroded a great deal at this end of Kanaapali. The pool is very big and nice but the cave/waterslide area didn't seem very clean. It is a little gimmicky as opposed to upscale and classic, but this area of Maui is all that way. It just depends what you like. The workout room is very good. The service was very good. Very friendly for the most part. Comp. champagne sent up for the honeymoon was a very nice touch. Comp. refrigerator was not available at check in but they did promptly deliver it the next day. Valet was reasonably priced ($10 day) and you have no choice because the parking lot was jam packed. The additonal resort fee didn't seem necessary because there rates aren't exactly cheap to begin with. Never ate at the hotel so can't tell about that. Probably a better place for families than honeymooners. We did enjoy it overall. The best was the snorkeling trip on the Hyatt's Catamaran. Great trip. On the Big Island we stayed at the Mauna Lani Bay Resort. The two places are like night and day. We preferrred the Mauna Lani even though it's older. Just wanted to give this review because everyone wants a vacation like this to be great and it helps to know what others think.

"The Best Only Gets Better!!!"

My wife and I have just returned from our latest visit to the Hyatt Regency Maui and as usual it only gets better with each stay! We have never had anything but superb service since our first visit in 1983 and have been lucky enough to make it back a dozen times since then. We always stay in the most fantastic room available on the Regency Club level in the Atrium Tower and the concierge staff at the Regency Club goes all out to make our stay memorable each time...in fact, we have made many good friends with some of the staff and keep in touch with them on a regular basis. The rooms and food can be considered very expensive by some, but after all this is a vacation and you do get what you pay for at the Hyatt!!! The grounds are always beautiful and you can't beat the romantic dinners at the Swan Court restaurant or the comfortable atmosphere of Cascades Grill and Sushi Bar. The bartendars and wait staff at Cascades are the most polite and friendly people of any hotel restaurant we have ever been to. The new Spa Moana is excellent with all the wonderful massage treatments they offer along with a very professional staff as well. If you've never been to this resort, I guarantee that your jaw will drop when you walk through the open-air lobby for the first time with it's beautiful tropical atmosphere. From the polite, effiecient check-in to the excellent service of very knowledgeable bellmen taking you to your room...your blood pressure drops immediately. We would never think of ever staying at another hotel on Maui...as this has become a very special "home away from home"!
