Stayed here during late December 2003 and very much enjoyed the stay. Got the hotel thru a package with Expedia and everything went well. The hotel upgraded us free upon checkin, and everything went well with our stay. We had a 1BR room on the fourth floor with a great view of the lush garden and a view of the ocean above that. One thing we had difficulty finding the the thermostat controls; had the call the front desk -- they are hidden inside the wall (in a fold out panel), by the door.Compared to Waikiki, The beach was very rocky, but that is probably par for the course for Maui.Enjoyed the stay; would stay here again if I was back.
Open air lobby with a level walk past flowers to the pool, then the restaurant, then the beach. Staff were very helpful. The beach extends for miles, but you will get wet wading past the kiawe trees. The one bedroom was upgraded to a grand view of the grounds, the beach, and the sunset over Lanai. five days were not enough. Going back next year.
Stayed a week at the Kaanapali Shores end of Jan and first of Feb, 2004. Two bedroom condo on the 9th floor. We found everything to be just fine. The room, the grounds, restaurant, and pools were very nice. The staff was helpful and pleasant. The beach is narrow, but still nice. Wear water clogs if going in the water. Snorkel along the rock ledge and see a variety of colorful fish. Convenient to everything on that side of Maui. We would not hesitate to stay there again. We did notice they are redoing the hotel rooms. Check availability and book Aston Kaanapali Shores |
