• Occupying the choicest site of the 9,000-acre Princeville resort community on Kauai's renowned North Shore, this elegant resort hotel looks out from its high perch at the vast Pacific; below is a postcard-perfect beach and surf-swept bay against a movie-set backdrop of rugged green mountains.
• Luxurious guestrooms provide custom-built comfort and eye-appeal. A "magic" window between bathroom and bedroom, at the flick of a switch, converts from opaque for privacy to transparent for bathing-with-a-view.

Built in plantation style, the hotel appears modest from the driveway: low-rise, creamy stucco with a green-tile roof. The vast lobby creates a different impression: marble, gently falling water, tapestries, antiqued chairs, sofas so deep they seem to swallow guests. A terrace off the lobby showcases ocean views, as breaking rollers sweep into beautiful Hanalei Bay past the rock spire called Bali Hai.

Property amenities

Comprised of 252 guestrooms in four three- and four-story buildings arrayed on the 23-acre site's cliffside, the resort is uncrowded and tranquil. Complimentary shuttles move guests around the vast Princeville resort community, including to the Prince Course clubhouse, where the full-service health/beauty/fitness spa is located, and to the tennis center. Off the lobby are concierge rooms for both Japanese and Western guests, where helicopter sightseeing trips along the renowned Napali Coast can be arranged, along with every other activity available on Kauai. The poolside beach-activity center rents out snorkel sets, kayaks, and boogie boards and arranges outrigger canoe tours, scuba lessons, and dives.

Policies

Extra person charges may apply and vary depending on hotel policy. There are no room charges for children under 18 when occupying same room as adults and using existing beds in room. If additional bed (rollaway) is required, the additional person charge applies. There is no charge for a crib.
Rollaways and cribs may be available and should be requested at the time of booking; fees may apply.
Photo identification and credit card or cash deposit are required upon check-in for incidental charges. All special requests are subject to availability upon check-in.

Recreation

The 9,000-acre Princeville resort community includes two golf courses: the 18-hole Prince, ranked number one in Hawaii by Golf Digest, and the 27-hole Makai, where three nines radiate like spokes from the clubhouse. The resort also includes a six-court tennis center and many jogging paths. Other recreational opportunities abound in North Kauai, including those listed below.

Mountain/Garden View Escape
