• Set on 27 acres of tropical lawns and gardens and fronting over half a mile of Kaanapali beach, the Royal Lahaina offers guests a magnificent West Maui location, a casual and relaxing vacation experience, traditional Hawaiian ambience, and a great oceanfront value.
• Guests can choose from rooms in one of two hotel buildings, or romantic cottage rooms and condo-style suites spread out among the gardens and oceanfront lawns. The resort is also home to the traditional Royal Lahaina Resort Luau and Polynesian Show.
• The Royal Lahaina is adjacent to two championship golf courses; the resort itself boasts two oceanfront pools and a beach activity center for complimentary daily scuba lessons. Guests enjoy convenient access and transportation to Lahaina Town, a 15-minute drive away.

Though the lobby—accented in dark wood with mirrored columns and a Maui mural covering the walls behind the front desk—hums with activity as guests from all over the world arrive and depart, tranquility holds sway throughout the rest of the resort's 27 acres. Casual and informal, the Royal Lahaina maintains its long reputation as a low-key sanctuary of relaxation.

Extra person charges may apply depending on hotel policy. There are no room charges for children 17 and younger occupying the same room as their parents.

Recreation

From the beach, catamarans offer whale-watching trips during the winter and snorkeling and scuba excursions as well as dinner cruises year-round. Two public, tournament-grade golf courses lie across the street from the resort, and there are three other courses at Kapalua 7 miles north. The resort contains a large Tennis Ranch, including a stadium court for tournaments. West Maui, either at the Royal Lahaina Resort or within the Kaanapali community, features skydiving, parasailing, helicopter/airplane sightseeing, nature/wildlife tours, and submarine excursions, in addition to the following recreational activities listed below.

Rooms

520-room resort gives guests brass keys and other reminders of its storied history. Green and white bedspreads reproduce a Hawaiian quilt pattern. Furniture is light-colored and includes big wicker chairs with floral cushions. Bedside lamps have white bases carved like oversized pineapples. Reading-friendly floor lamps and potted plant. All rooms include air conditioning, refrigerator, and cable TV.

Oceanfront Cottage Room

One king bed, one queen bed, or two double beds. Furnished lanai faces west, toward Kaanapali Beach. Located in five-unit buildings amid resort gardens and lawns (one of resort's original accommodations). 385 square feet. Bathrooms with glass-and-wooden louvers.

Garden View (Lahaina Kai Tower)

One king bed, one queen bed, and two queen or two double beds. Garden view facing north or south. Carpeted lanai furnished with two chairs. Located in 12-story Lahaina Kai Tower. 365 square feet.

Kaanapali Standard

One king bed, two queen beds, or two double beds. Limited garden view. Lanai with chairs. Located in three-story Hale Kaanapali building. 425 square feet.

Ocean View (Lahaina Kai Tower)

One king bed, one queen bed, and two queen or two double beds. Ocean view facing north or south. Carpeted lanai furnished with two chairs. Located in 12-story Lahaina Kai Tower. 365 square feet.
