• Situated on northwest Maui's renowned Kaanapali Beach, this elegant full-service resort hotel offers a famously massive, 85,000-square-foot water park. Kaanapali's shopping and dining mall, Whalers Village, is next door, and two public, tournament-grade golf courses lie across the street.
• Westin's signature all-white Heavenly Bed, seven layers of bedding including a fluffy down-filled duvet, highlights each extra-spacious guestroom. A balcony and a marble bathroom are among other room comforts and conveniences.
• The out-of-the-ordinary water park offers five swimming pools on three levels, a long water slide, a grotto spa, koi ponds, and a rocky mountainscape of lush gardens, rushing streams, waterfalls, and winding paths.

Myriad diversions—athletic, cultural, educational, and entertaining—attract a young-adult and family clientele, with opportunities for adults to dress up a bit in the evenings. The late closing time of the adults-only pool, nightly entertainment, and sociable restaurants and lounges keep The Westin Maui hopping long after most Kaanapali Beach hotels have fallen into slumber. Asian art objects convert spacious, airy public rooms and hallways into a lovely museum illuminated by huge chandeliers at night.

Property amenities

Attracting honeymooners, conventioneers, and independent travelers, the two-tower Westin Maui serves them all with a myriad of activities and facilities in an airy setting of pillars, broad corridors lined with smart shops, and high ceilings. There are tent-like gazebos for rent near the pool and up on the mountainscape; fingernail-painting and hair-braiding gazebos by the lower-level pool; a health-and-beauty spa; water aerobics; walks-and-talks about flowers and koi-feeding; doll- and lei- and hat/basket-making classes; wood-carving and hula lessons; and above all, water-based fun in the sun.

A daily resort fee of $13 per room is charged at the hotel. Fee includes:

Extra person charges may apply depending on hotel policy. There are no room charges for children under 18 when occupying same room as adults and using existing beds in room. If additional bed (rollaway) is required, the additional person charge applies. There is no charge for a crib. The maximum occupancy allowed per room is four: two adults and two children or three adults and one child.
Rollaways and cribs may be available and should be requested at the time of booking; fees may apply.
Photo identification and credit card or cash deposit are required upon check-in for incidental charges. All special requests are subject to availability upon check-in.

Recreation

The following activities are available in the area surrounding the hotel. Snorkel sets, boogie boards, aqua eyes (boogie boards with an inset face mask), scuba gear, kayaks, ocean rafts, small catamarans, beach umbrellas, Jet Skis, and "cabanas" consisting of padded beach lounges and adjustable tentlike shades can be rented on Kaanapali Beach.

Rooms

Two-tower hotel offers 759 rooms. Hallways between rooms display part of $2.5 million Asian art collection. Rooms feature Heavenly Bed: all-white bedding with custom-designed Simmons pillowtop mattress, triple sheeting, down blanket, comforter and duvet, and five goosedown/goosefeather pillows. Dark-wood furniture in exceptionally spacious rooms. Air conditioning and ceiling fans. Rooms located in two towers: the newer Beach Tower, directly on the beach, and the Ocean Tower, farther back from the beach, with mountain and golf course views.

Terrace View

One king bed or two double beds. Located in the back of the hotel, with balcony overlooking the parking lot. Flower boxes along the balcony's edges brighten the view. Westin Heavenly Bed, marble bath fixtures, makeup mirror, plush bathrobes, marble counter with complimentary snacks.

Ocean View

One king bed or two double beds. Balcony offers wide ocean views with water park, swimming pools, palm trees in foreground. Located on the upper floors of Ocean Tower. Westin Heavenly Bed, marble bath fixtures, makeup mirror, plush bathrobes, marble counter with complimentary snacks.

Garden View
