The National Tropical Botanical Gardens include five gardens, one of them is located in Florida, and other four on the islands Maui and Kauai, Hawaii. These gardens are dedicated to the conservation of Hawaii flowers and plants, particularly rare and endangered species, as well as tropical flowers and plants from other countries.

McBryde Garden

McBryde Garden is situated on the south shore of Kauai, in the picturesque Lawai Valley. It covers over 252 acres. The Lawai Valley has the unique facilities for gardening because of its diverse climate, soils and topography. It consists of different microenviroments: cool, hot, wet, dry, lake, cliff or meadow.

It is home to the largest ex situ collection of Hawaiian flora. It includes Hawaii flowers, palms and flowering trees.

Allerton

Kauai: National Tropical Botanical Gardens

In Hawaiian this park has other name - Lawai-kai. It is located in Lawai Valley, close to McBryde Garden. It was created in the late 19th century for Hawaii's Queen Emma. Robert and John Gregg Allerton - talented landscape designers - gave to the park its nowadays look. This masterpiece of garden art combines the natural beauty of Hawaii flowers and trees with the beauty of human creations: statues, edifices and artificial ponds.

Limahuli Garden and Preserve

Limahuli Garden is situated on Kauai's wet north shore in Haena. It extends over 1,000 acres in a verdant tropical valley covering three distinct ecological zones.

Kahanu Garden

Kahanu Garden is located on the Hana coast, along the far eastern shores of Maui. The garden houses the world's largest collection of breadfruit and the largest ancient place of worship for the Polynesian people.
